On September 3, 2016 at 14:00 at the initiative of Russian Art (collection of Prof. A. Abrahamyan) jointly with the Gallery of Mariam and Yeranuhi Aslamazyan sisters /t. Gyumri/ the presentation and sale of the collection of autobiographical stories “Daftar of life” (“Book of life”) of the artist Mariam Aslamazyan.
Mariam Aslamazyan devoted her life to art with no residue. The artist lived for nearly a century with a brush in her hand, in the last years of her life summarizing done and not done, as well as wrote a book of short stories “Davtar of life”.
M. Aslamazyan with her inherent sincerity and observation analyzed her personal experience, spoke about the difficult years of life and joyful events and turned to expensive memories of meetings with friends – Martiros Saryan, Sedrak Arakelyan, Catholicos Vazgen the First, Indira Gandhi, and others.
The author reviewed the individual position of Soviet and post-war years and described their consequences. The book of short stories was first published in Moscow in 2000, at the expense of the author M. Aslamazyan. In 2016 autobiography “Davtar of life” was reprinted. We should also add that the complete collection of the People’s artist of the USSR and the ArmenianSSR Mariam Aslamazian is in Gyumri Gallery of Aslamazyan sisters, and her works today adorn the collections and permanent exhibits of about 50 well-known museums of the Russian Federation, China, India, France, the National Gallery of Armenia, etc.
